The Marvelous Medicine Show

Designed for indoor or outdoor venues. This theatrical show is intended as an evening of entertainment. While not as interactive as my short festival shows, The Marvelous Medicine Show tells you why soap bubbles will cure just about anything and you’ll see more my live creation of art using the science of bubbles and the technology of light to paint the stage and take you on a “time travel” to the carefree days of childhood wonder.
Peace, Love and Bubbles (30 min)(requires Tower)

Come on an adventure of light, sound and bubbles as I bring you a multimedia spectacle that celebrates the simple joy of bubbles. I paint the space with music, light and bubbles to illustrate the ideas of: PEACE, LOVE and BUBBLES. Inspired by the Nick Lowe song “What’s So Funny Bout Peace, Love and Understanding”, this show takes another step in my evolution of bringing together a magical environment to bring wonder and joy to everyone.
The Tower of Bubbles (varies)
This year, Professor Bubblemaker introduces an all NEW ATTRACTION to your fair or festival. The Tower of Bubbles is a 16-24 foot framework tower festooned with smoke and bubble machines, metal “Peace, Love, & Bubbles” symbols up the face and moving lights, lasers and projections. This multi-purpose scaffolding tower is designed with a 9×16 foot or 14×21 foot stage at the base of the 7x7x16 foot tower. When shows are not happening on stage the lights, bubble machines, sound or projection screens can perform as periodic entertainment or information resources. One idea is to use it as a giant grandfather clock, with a short burst of music, bubbles, and lights on the hour or half hour. Another idea is to cycle through available bubble machines to have a constant small stream of bubbles floating on the wind all day. With a small change over, my bubble stage can be used by other performers or small groups, as a small grounds entertainment stage. This year, with the Tower of Bubbles, The sky really is the limit.
Festival/Strolling Bubbles (varies)
The professor strolls around your event grounds selecting different places to stop and perform mini-shows and let the kids of all ages chase and pop the bubbles or just dance among all of the bubbles dancing on the wind. The bubbles catching the wind and flying all over the festival grounds creates a magical environment that gives the little kids “The best day of their life” and carries the “big kids” back to their best days. Strolling is also a great way to get the show times out to all of the festival goers and mention sponsors names.
The Rock & Roll Bubble Show (30 min)
Much like rock & roll radio, the Rock & Roll Bubble Show is “less talk and more bubbles”. After a brief introduction, a variety of music plays non-stop with each song featuring different sorts of bubbling, from basic bubble sculptures to bubbles made with everyday objects to filling the sky with bubbles giant bubbles, tiny bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, and even a bubble volcano. Right before the grand finale I take a short break to catch my breath and pick volunteers to be put inside of bubbles.
The finale again features the biggest bubble in [your state] tonight, and kids (or adults) inside bubbles. If the Rock & Roll Bubble Show has a theme, it is to take a bit of time to have some fun, be a bit silly, and always try to share a smile with someone every day. As this is my most popular show, I currently have 2 versions of it with different music and 1 version featuring all music by The Beatles. (Grateful Dead and ELP versions are being considered for the future)
The Beautiful Bubble Ballet approx 45 minutes
My original bubble and light show. This very interactive show features an instrumental soundtrack and bubbles of all shapes and sizes dancing to the music as the colored lights reflect and refract playfully. In between songs are personal moments joking with my audience, explaining a tiny bit of the science and art of bubbles and how I do the things I do, and even teaching a trick that kids can do at home with dish soap. Themed around finding what you love to do and learning and working to become the best that you can be. I describe my abilities to do neat things with bubbles as a bit of math, a bit of science, and a whole lot of practice. Later I share the story of a day spent trying to figure out a particular trick with a twist at the end that leads the audience into the next song with a giggle. As with most of my shows, the Beautiful Bubble Ballet ends with “the biggest bubbles in [your state] tonight” and people inside bubbles.
**Timing note** Due to the interactive nature of this show including a question and answer break with young children, run time of this show may vary between audiences.
Private Party Shows run time: 1hr+
Private party shows are highly personalized shows based on the guests. For younger kids I often split the entertainment into a short show with time afterwards to do a more interactive activity like making bubbles for them to chase and pop or having bubble tools that they can use to make bubbles. For older kids and adults I try to work with themes that you may have for the event. Examples are being a bubble wizard for a Harry Potter themed event, doing a bit “spicier” humor for a beer garden event, and even working up a bubble routine that represented marriage for a wedding at which I officiated. Yes, you too could be married by Professor Bubblemaker!
